Chad Abbott
Chad AbbottManaging Director

As a co-founder with more than 15 years in Wireless Telecommunications Network Deployment, Chad has had extensive experience managing large-scale turnkey projects throughout the Western United States. Chad has helped mold Modus into the solutions-based industry leader it is today. Prior to Modus, he served as the Northern California Regional Manager for Parsons Wireless Communications division (formerly The Alaris Group). Chad holds dual Masters degrees in Public Administration (MPA) and Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from the University of Colorado, and earned his B.S. from Michigan State University. Read more +

Erik Corkery
Erik CorkeryManaging Director

As a co-founder with more than 15 years’ experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry, Erik has helped forge Modus into an innovative industry leader in Wireless Network Development. With extensive experience managing regional turnkey development projects in particularly challenging jurisdictions, he has a track record of developing big picture opportunities for his clients, often finding new or underutilized avenues of success with an eye toward accelerating on-air goals. Prior to Modus, he worked at Parson’s and was responsible for negotiation and legal review of the company’s wireless division’s national and regional contracts, a function he has maintained with Modus since its inception. Before entering the Wireless industry, Erik worked as an attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of Santa Clara University and The University of San Francisco School of Law, Erik is a member of the State Bar of California. Read more +

Ryan Crowley
Ryan CrowleyManaging Director

As a co-founder with more than 15 years’ experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry, Ryan has been active in Real Estate and Land Use Entitlements for 20 years. Ryan has led multiple development teams throughout the Western United States focusing primarily on Outdoor DAS and Fiber Solutions. Prior to entering the Wireless Industry, he worked in Investment Banking for Wells Fargo. A graduate of Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Commerce, Finance, Ryan has an active Real Estate Broker’s License in the State of California and Washington. Read more +

Steve Brayton
Steve BraytonDirector, Finance

Steve has over 20 years of related experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry, holding management positions with American Tower, The Alaris Group, and Parsons. He was the Director of Finance for ATC’s Western Region during their early years in 1997, when 2000+ towers were acquired and/or built in the Western Region over a short 5 year period. Prior to joining Modus, he served as Controller for The Alaris Group, a telecommunications consulting firm. As part of the senior management team, he helped position the firm for its eventual sale to Parsons. He currently oversees all financial management, reporting, capital allocation, and a number of related management and transaction responsibilities. Steve has a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Buffalo. Read more +

Cal Bordonaro
Cal BordonaroDirector,

Cal has over 20 years’ experience in Wireless Network Development. Cal worked for Sprint PCS from 1995-2001. His area of responsibility included the launch of Sacramento and SF Bay Area, 300 new rings for build-out of phase III in Portland and Seattle MTA’s. As Site Development Manager for the SF Bay Area from 1999-2001, Cal implemented the revolutionary web based database, Siterra, which helped to change the way the industry managed their network deployment. In March of 2002, Cal started with Metro PCS as the Director of Site Development and played a major role in the launch of Northern California. During his tenure as Director, Cal was responsible for continued expansion of the network which included the build-out of capacity sites, rural expansion, LTE 4th Generation, Fuel Cell replacement of batteries, Microwave backhaul, fiber to existing sites, DAS systems, as well as extensive work with Ericsson on their HetNet design. As a graduate of UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Political Science, Cal is a licensed PMP, has his General Contractor Class B License and a CA Real Estate License. Read more +

Jimmy Stillman
Jimmy Stillman Operations Manager

Jimmy has over 10 years’ experience in all aspects of planning, community development, wireless telecommunications and project management. During his 5+ years with Modus, he has lead the successful execution of hundreds of NSB & Small Cell land use entitlements, building permits, and lease agreements throughout the Bay Area. He has a strong understanding of client needs while maintaining the goals and policies set forth by the local communities. Prior to entering the Wireless Industry, he worked as a Land Use Planner for the City of Woodland and Bay Area Conservation Development Commission (BCDC). As a Public Sector planner, he focused on current planning applications, CEQA compliance and Historic Preservation & SHPO compliance. Jimmy has a B.A. in Urban & Regional Planning from Sonoma State University. He is a member of the Wireless Telecommunication Association, APA, and the Urban Land Institute. Read more +

Kevin Bowyer
Kevin BowyerOperations Manager

Kevin has worked in both the public and private sides of the planning sector. Prior to joining Modus, he gained valuable experience working as a City Planner for the City of Lemon Grove in Southern California. During his 5+ years with Modus, he has served as both a Land Use Planner and Sr. Project Manager on all types of wireless projects including new site builds, small cells, site modifications, and outdoor DAS. Kevin holds an M.A. in Urban & Regional Planning from San Jose State University as well as a B.A. in Public Administration with an emphasis in City Planning from San Diego State University. Scott Revard
Scott RevardProgram Manager

Scott has 13 years of related experience in the Wireless Network Development. He started with MetroPCS in 2003 and, as a Project Manager, Scott played a key role in building out the network in Northern California. In 2013, he was project lead for T-Mobile Special Projects to ensure synergy between MetroPCS and T-Mobile networks. He has experience managing land use and entitlements for wireless projects and has a successful track record deploying wireless technology including Macro, Small Cell, LTE, Microwave backhaul and ODAS systems. He managed Verizon's Site License Agreements and was POC for all material legal items with SFPUC/SFMTA in regards to Verizon's ODAS build in the SOMA district, ensuring that all the designs submitted to SFPUC and SFMTA met all of the requirements set forth by each entity. Scott is a graduate of University of Oklahoma Price Business School with a B.B.A in Finance. Read more +

Tora Chung
Tora ChungHuman Resources & Operations Manager

Tora spent 10+ years in the Film industry running production offices and supporting producers for studio features like The Hulk, Superbad and Syriana and more recently directing an animated commercial and producing award-winning short films for the Scary Cow Film Collective. Before that, she worked in Development and Events Production for the San Francisco, Mill Valley and Sundance Film Festivals. Prior to joining Modus, she served as the Human Resources Coordinator - Sales and Marketing for the wine industry leader Constellation Brands. She majored in Comparative Literature at Smith College and Film Studies at UC Berkeley. Read more +
